Nestled in central Little Rock, Fair Park is a neighborhood anchored by ArchWell Health’s Fair Park primary care center, opened in February 2025 to serve adults 60 and older with same‑day appointments, wellness workshops, and community referrals tailored to Older Adults. The facility also hosts social programs in a friendly, collaborative space built to foster connection.
Your morning could begin with a gentle walk in War Memorial Park, formerly known as Fair Park. This expansive 117-acre urban green space includes shaded paved trails, a fishing pond with benches, picnic pavilions, and tranquil waterways meandering through landscaped gardens—making it ideally suited for mobility-friendly movement and riverside respite.
In warmer months, local older adults often participate in Little Rock Parks & Recreation aging‑focused day trips and in‑center programming such as crafts, board games, outings, and wellness lectures hosted at community centers like The Centre at University Park. Ongoing classes and social hours are offered for ages 55+, and special events such as intergenerational health fairs are held in public spaces adjacent to Fair Park.
For cultural enrichment nearby, older adults can explore the Community Theatre of Little Rock, a volunteer-driven nonprofit offering community performances and live music. Local older adults also walk scenic sections of the Arkansas River Trail, a 17-mile paved corridor with riverfront views, connecting to bridges and downtown attractions like the Clinton Presidential Park Bridge and Big Dam Bridge. These routes are well adapted for easy walking or rolling outings.
Whether you're attending a wellness presentation at ArchWell, walking shaded park loops, joining a creative workshop at a nearby community center, or taking in a local theatre performance, Fair Park offers older adults a supportive and activity-rich environment rooted in wellness, connection, and nature.
ArchWell Health also provides engaging classes and activities in Fair Park designed to help you stay active, connected, and thriving. From fitness and wellness programs to social events and educational workshops, our comprehensive offerings support your physical, mental, and social wellbeing. Join fellow community members in fun, meaningful activities that enhance your quality of life and help you build lasting friendships.
