- Registration (10-30 minutes)
If not already complete, our care team will help you finish your new member paperwork. They’ll also have you sign a records release consent to give us permission to request records from your previous providers - Screening questions* (15-25 minutes)
Depending on your needs, you’ll meet with a medical assistant or registered nurse from your care team. They may do lab work or perform an electrocardiogram (EKG) if you have a history of heart problems. - Meet with your primary care provider (First time visits are, on average, 40 minutes with your provider.)
You and your doctor will have a chance to chat, discuss your health history, and address any concerns you may have about your health.
* If you’re more comfortable seeing a male or female member of the team, please let us know. We’ll do our best to honor your request. Depending on the current transmission level of COVID in your community, we may ask you to wear a mask at your local ArchWell Health center. If transmission levels are low, you will not be requested to mask.
Step 3:
Schedule regular wellness visits
Routine wellness visits are the key to a successful care plan. In addition to check-ups and labs, we’ll include preventive steps like exercise and a healthy diet—so you can keep doing the things you love.
Live Life in Wisconsin
Wisconsin’s blend of scenic lakes, rolling forests, and welcoming communities makes the Badger State an engaging place for ArchWell Health members to stay active, connected, and enriched. Across the state, older adults can find vibrant senior centers, accessible parks and trails, cultural attractions, and seasonal events that celebrate local heritage, nature, and lifelong learning.
In towns and cities throughout Wisconsin, senior and adult activity centers serve as focal points for social connection, wellness programming, and community involvement. These centers, often operated through local parks and recreation departments or nonprofit aging networks, offer a variety of fitness classes, arts and crafts workshops, educational seminars, card and board game groups, day trips, and social events . Whether you’re engaging in gentle exercise, learning a new craft, or joining friends for a group outing, these spaces provide friendly environments to stay active and socially connected. The state has senior centers in Milwaukee, Madison, Green Bay, Eau Claire, and many smaller communities, each offering unique local flavor and programming.
For outdoor lovers, Wisconsin’s State Park System spans more than 150,000 acres of forests, lakeshores, and riverside trails. These parks offer year‑round opportunities for walking, birdwatching, picnicking, and scenic drives, as well as boating and fishing on inland lakes or along the Great Lakes shoreline. Trails like the Ice Age National Scenic Trail provide accessible hiking routes through glaciated landscapes, while parks such as Lake Wissota State Park and Amnicon Falls State Park invite visitors to explore nature, enjoy peaceful lakeside views, or stroll gentle paths beside waterfalls.
In more urban settings, Wisconsin’s vibrant cultural scene offers rich opportunities for enrichment. In Madison, visitors can take guided tours of the Wisconsin State Capitol, explore exhibits at the Chazen Museum of Art, or wander accessible gardens and waterfront paths along lakes . Cities like La Crosse integrate senior programming into parks and recreation activities, ensuring that calendar seasons bring engaging events and activities for older adults.
Throughout the state, senior centers, community parks, trails, museums, and recreation departments collaborate with aging networks and volunteers to create welcoming avenues for lifelong learning, health and fitness, socialization, and outdoor adventure. Whether you’re enjoying a gentle walk along a lakeside trail, attending a card game at a local center, learning about Wisconsin history, or simply unwinding among forested beauty, Wisconsin provides ArchWell Health members with meaningful ways to enrich daily life.
