What Every Woman Needs to Know About Annual Screenings

Starts July 15th
The Pink Letter Project encourages women to prioritize breast cancer screenings and inspire the people they love to do the same through personal messages of encouragement.
What It Is
It all begins by ArchWell Health centers mailing personalized letters to women who are due for their mammogram. This letter includes a ready-to-use order form, information on nearby radiology centers and ways that ArchWell Health can assist them through this process.
Now in its 4th year, the Pink Letter Project has provided support to thousands of women across the country in need of this life-saving screening. The campaign focuses on scheduling your mammogram in the summer rather than waiting until the October, National Breast Cancer Awareness, rush.
Through in-center events and community outreach events the Pink Letter Project also provides postcards to the community to write a note of encouragement to women in their life.
This year's theme, Every bloom starts with care, celebrates the simple reminders that can inspire meaningful action.
Why It Matters
Screening centers see a surge of mammogram appointments in October during National Breast Cancer awareness month, leaving calendars booked weeks in advance. For women who wait until fall to schedule, that often means delays into late winter or beyond. Unfortunately, this delay could be the difference between life and death.
