ArchWell Health and Helping Hands of Vegas Valley Partner to Address Needs of Las Vegas Seniors

LAS VEGAS (April 24, 2024) – ArchWell Health, a national company dedicated to improving the lives of seniors, announces its partnership with Helping Hands of Vegas Valley (HHOVV) to address lifestyle barriers to better health for seniors in Las Vegas. Through this collaborative partnership, ArchWell Health will provide 300 seniors in need with new air filters that will be installed in their homes by HHOVV’s Minor Home Repair program. ArchWell Health will also sponsor lunches throughout the year, hosted by HHOVV.

Studies indicate that multiple factors influence health outcomes for seniors, including clean air, safe housing, transportation and access to good nutrition. In the case of older adults, these social determinants of health can directly impact their longevity, mobility and independence.

Many seniors throughout the valley struggle to keep their homes running efficiently with clean air systems due to the desert environment or pets in the home. In addition to saving costs that come with a properly running air conditioner, quality air filters help alleviate irritants such as germs and dust that can cause respiratory health issues and allergies.

“We are looking forward to this new opportunity to partner with Archwell Health” said Marcia Clark, Executive Director, Helping Hands of Vegas Valley. “We love working with community partners who share our mission and love for senior citizens. We look forward to collaborating with them on multiple projects that help both our clients have better access to healthcare and supportive services.”

Beyond donating 300 air filters, ArchWell Health is proud to support HHOVV’s community events and lunches throughout the year. This effort complements the company’s dedication to Las Vegas seniors, reflected in their high-quality primary care services, weekly social activities, same-day appointments and longer appointment times.

“As primary care providers focused on helping seniors live healthy lives, we know the importance of having a clean, healthy environment,” said Dr. Linda Johnson, ArchWell Health. “We’re grateful to be aligned with organizations like Helping Hands of Vegas Valley that recognize the needs of our seniors and collaborate to provide solutions. This partnership will give seniors in our community cleaner air and cost savings to help them stay active and healthy.”

ArchWell Health has eight centers throughout Las Vegas where they care for adults 60+ in a bright, welcoming environment that fosters friendships and connections.
