Breast cancer may be the last thing on your mind in the middle of summer. But your best wellness is always on our minds at ArchWell Health.

We love encouraging members to put their health first – and to make it easy, meaningful, and maybe even enjoyable (who says healthcare has to be a chore?).

Because your wellness matters to so many, we’ve come up with a sweet, simple way to encourage early detection of breast cancer across generations and communities…one letter at a time.

Hello, Summer, Hello Pink Letter Project!

Say hello to the Pink Letter Project, which kicks off July 15th at ArchWell Health centers across the country.

Come to the center closest to you and choose from our colorful collection of postcards designed to remind the women you know and love (young and old, because breast cancer affects ladies of all ages) to get that mammogram.

If you’re an ArchWell Health member, we want to help you schedule your screening now, ahead of the pink ribbon frenzy of October when appointments are hard to come by.

Send a Pink Letter Project postcard to yourself. Send one to your neighbors, Zumba dance partners, relatives and friends. We’ll help you raise awareness and check that early detection box.

Early Detection Is Always Best

Breast cancer continues to be the top most common cancer diagnosed among women in the US and is still the 2nd leading cause of death from cancer among women, according to 2025 stats from the American Cancer Society.

Even if you’ve had breast cancer before, or you don’t have family history or a genetic predisposition for it, it’s much easier to treat – and with a better success rate – when it’s discovered early.

Whether mammograms make you cringe or you’re unbothered by them, don’t wait until October to schedule one. Not only are the appointment books often full, but if you need further screening after the initial screening (an ultrasound is often required for a closer look if you have dense breast tissue or the technician sees something of concern), you’ll need more time to have it covered.

Our members, who are due for a regular mammogram screening, receive personalized letters that provide information on the importance of breast cancer screenings, details on how to easily schedule a mammogram and where their closest screening centers are located. The letter provides ready to use “order forms” for members to bring to their screening center of choice.

What’s the Rush?

Mammograms are the best way to detect breast cancer early when it’s easiest to treat.

Don’t want to go alone? Make a day of it. Take your sister out for lunch afterwards. Go with your

granddaughter and get a Starbucks pink drink afterwards. Have a pink lemonade on the porch with your

best friend and call to make your appointments together.

Early detection is everything. And there’s power in prevention, peace of mind, and Pink Letter Project postcards. Let’s put breast cancer screenings at the top of our summer to-do lists, ladies. A little time can save a lifetime.

What other screenings are important for your best health? Check out our 2025 Wellness Calendar to check more things off your “taking care of you” list.
