ArchWell Health Announces Partnership with Arkansas Foodbank

Pine Bluff, AR– ArchWell Health, a national company dedicated to improving the lives of seniors, announces its partnership with the Arkansas Foodbank to support the organization’s Food is Medicine program. Arkansas Foodbank, the state's largest hunger-relief organization, is committed to creating pathways to connect people, resources, and food to reach those in need, providing dignity, hope, and a brighter future for all Arkansans. The Food is Medicine program is designed to address the critical link between nutrition and health throughout the state.

As a part of this partnership, ArchWell Health’s Pine Bluff center will become a pickup site for the Arkansas Foodbanks senior dry goods boxes. The first of these events will take place on Wednesday, September 24, at 2801 S. Olive St.. This program ensures that older adults facing food insecurity have reliable access to shelf stable products.

Their support of both the Food is Medicine and Senior Box programs allows us to reach more Arkansas seniors who are facing food insecurity. The need for this partnership is clear: nearly one in eight older adults in Arkansas face food insecurity, giving the state the highest rate of senior food insecurity in the nation. By partnering food access with health care, the Food is Medicine program seeks to improve the quality of life and support independence for seniors.
