Living Life Well In Mid-Del

zh-hans-cn|

Mid‑Del—spanning Midwest City and Del City—surrounds ArchWell Health’s coverage area with abundant senior-focused amenities. At its heart is the Midwest City Senior Center, where locals gather for wellness, education, and community connection.

Start with fitness & fellowship
The Midwest City Senior Center (8251 E Reno Ave) is a 21,000 sq ft hub on 3½ acres, connected to the Midwest City Spirit Trails outdoor system. Here you'll find daily chair yoga, chair aerobics, Tai Chi, line dance, pickleball, board games, music jams, quilting, pinochle and hot (social‑donation) meals, plus scheduled day trips. It’s free for registered adults 60+—with optional activities at no charge.

Walk or roll with ease
Linked to the center, the Spirit Trails network spans over 18 miles of paved loops ideal for gentle walks, rolling, or connecting to parks like Joe B. Barnes Regional Park and Tom Poore Park. Its flat, shaded paths support both fitness and peaceful transit across neighborhoods.

Nature & enrichment nearby
Minutes away sits Will Rogers Gardens within Will Rogers Park, a 30-acre horticultural site including the Charles E. Sparks Rose Garden, arboretum, and the Ed Lycan Conservatory. Older Adults can wander shaded garden loops, attend floral arranging workshops, or simply relax among blooms in accessible surroundings.

Lifelong learning & local support
Within mid‑Del, older adults also access public resources via Oklahoma County’s Area Agency on Aging, outreach meal programs, and transportation assistance. For broader programming, the nearby Will Rogers Senior Center (3501 Pat Murphy Dr, OKC) offers art classes, wellness seminars, computer labs, creative groups, and health workshops.
